07:55 PM ET 02.05 | Before Super Bowl XLVII, the only thing people had to complain about when it came to concerns for next year's cold weather Super Bowl, was sub-zero temperatures and blizzard-like conditions. Now, after the Super Bowl blackout in New Orleans, fans have another thing to worry about -- the heat getting turned off in the middle of the game. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy has apparently been taking a lot of heat over what could go wrong at Super Bowl XLVIII, and some people are erroneously reporting that the Super Bowl halftime show will take place at an indoor venue separate from MetLife Stadium. McCarthy's response to all the fear and loathing: chill out. The New York Post reported that unnamed planning sources cast doubt that the Super Bowl halftime show would even happen next year due to a number of factors. From this year's blackout, which the NFL has fiercely said had nothing to do with Beyonce's performance, to the concerns over the temperature, the source told the Post that there just might not be enough time to clear the field in cold weather.
