All-Star dilemma just starting for Spoelstra

08:07 AM ET 02.06 | Should Erik Spoelstra give his own player, Chris Bosh, a starting nod in the All-Star Game -- or replace a point guard with a point guard and hand the honor to Cleveland's Kyrie Irving? Spoelstra suggested on Sunday in Toronto that he would start Bosh. ... Spoelstra will not have many responsibilities during All-Star weekend, but it is his job to name a replacement starter for Rajon Rondo, the Celtics guard who recently tore a knee ligament and is out for the season. Spoelstra didn't come out and say he was going to use his authority to start Bosh, but he offered a big hint. "Look, I've only given this thought for the last nine minutes, but I will tell you this, unequivocally, that my loyalties, first and foremost are always with the Miami Heat."

3 starting Miami players and no point guard on it?
give me a break...everyone knows it should go to Irving and Spoelstra will take flak for it if it isnt...
having a carrot out there for Kyrie though would not be a bad thing though.....I cannot wait until the next Heat/Cavs game if Spoelstra disprespects Kyrie- trust me, itll be must see Tv

I can understand Spoelstra's dilemma-he does not want to play favorites nor does he want to alienate the other player by inserting a rookie into the starting lineup. Personally I think that it will go well either way--players won't rebel or push Kyrie out and Bosh already has a high reputation as one of the top PFs in the league. So it's a win/win, right?

Now that was just a dumb comment. Not many players can play all five positions, let alone for 48 minutes. Not even Magic Johnson could do that my friend.

Bosh should not start and this is from a Heat fan.
The next highest votes at Rondo's spot should get the nod.
Sub in Bosh and play him as much as you like, just don't start him.

He doesn't owe it to no one , bottom line is Spoelstra has earned the right to choose his own player , most coaches in the league will always side with their own anyways. It would also be nice to stick it to Cleveland and that obnoxious idiot owner of their's again ..
