Rangers expect Pudge at spring training

08:09 AM ET 02.06 | Life after playing is about to get busier for Ivan Rodriguez. The Rangers are still trying to finalize a permanent role for [Rodriguez] in the organization, but do expect him to be in spring training for a portion of the time helping work with catchers. No dates for Rodriguez to visit Surprise, Ariz., have been finalized. Hector Ortiz, the Rangers' catching coordinator, will handle the bulk of the responsibilities, but Rodriguez could also get on the field and work with catchers while he is there. Rodriguez officially retired as a Ranger last June. Both he and front office officials indicated a desire to have him work for the club in some capacity. A year ago, Ortiz rotated between the minors and majors during the regular season to tutor catchers.

Yes better - some coughing because of drainage but doing well and at work. Able to focus a little better than yesterday. So work won't be as draining.
