Yeah ... but how many steps did he lose because of the injury? Ankles are never the same after being broken.

I remember when ARod first came to the Yankees and my mom, from day 1, said she didn't like him because he said he was better than Jeter.

And, I always said "But, mom, Arod is better."

She would just give me that disdainftul stare moms have and I knew no matter what I said she would never agree with me.

Now, just last night we were talking about ARod and the the same issue came up and I said "When he said that he was better than Jeter, but, now... who knows because he was probably always juicing, so, maybe Jeter really was the better player all along."

Funny, how that **** works out sometimes.

Never the biggest Jeter fan in my life but I would have always found a spot for him on my team. He would play hard and just seemed to have a certain common sense approach to playing the game. And he always seemed to give respect to the game and to his elders in the game as well as outside ofthe game.

Parents taught him well.

Agree 100% - he plays well, respects the game, and has respect for himself when not between the lines..... I have the utmost respect for Jeter...... no signs of juicing... just a hardnosed ball player....

Sometimes I wish people wouldn't marinade in their purfume or cologne.... Damn... I'm in an aisle cubicle (at least I have walls) - and sometimes the most pungent odors come wafting ... nah.... not wafting..... roiling ... thats better.... roiling over the walls.....
