UCLA overtaking USC on Signing Day

08:17 AM ET 02.06 | Perhaps the Rick Neuheisel-era proclamation that "the football monopoly in Los Angeles is officially over" came a bit soon. [The] end of USC's monopoly on the recruiting trail could be in sight. At least, the end has never seemed more near than on this somewhat backwards Signing Day. The Bruins are rumored to clean up with a handful of top-flight prospects -- a haul that could vault UCLA to having the Pac-12's top recruiting class -- while USC could be left to wonder how it fell behind. ... [The excitement] centers on a handful of blue-chip prospects that could be headed to UCLA next season -- a few of whom were previously committed to USC. If Wednesday goes as expected, the Bruins should be one of the biggest winners of the entire recruiting cycle.

Vanderdoes is 90% to Westwood. But don't grab the shovels just yet, my friends.

This. This is the news of the day. Vanderdoes at 8pm will likely be a Bruin. Fitts is a Bruin. Prevot looks to be gone. Jason Hatcher, gone. Jalen Ramsey, gone. And that's just in the last 2 days. The number of decomits from USC exceeds the number of commits

Yawn, one good season and you sound like you work for NBC. Beat a real team (and yes I can agree USC is not one), without the help of the refs and then start saying something.

ND will replay Bama and other SEC teams in the next few years, and rewrite the myth of SEC dominance.

Yes, Mora has done a great job at UCLA. If USC can sign just 10/13 players then it will be tough on them for the next few years, but I think most of us on FN expected this to happen, with the NCAA sanctions, so this is nothing new!!!! :-)

Torrodney Prevot goes to Oregon. That makes 9 decommits from USC overall?

LOL, Oregon will be very tough for the next 2/3 years!!!! Where do you get the 9 decommits??? You are aware, that USC can "only" sign "15" recruits this year, aren't you???

The surprise are the losses late in the process. Thanks for taking the heat off UTx

I understand, but regardless, USC can only sign "15" recruits, it really doesn't matter which recruits get away and sign with another team. :-)
