08:18 AM ET 02.06 | Wondering what it means to live in the SEC? Mark Stoops left an assistant job with Florida State a little more than two months ago to become the head coach at the University of Kentucky -- despite never once setting foot on campus. ... [Stoops] believed in the people at UK and believed in one thing that increasingly carries incredible power on the recruiting trail -- membership in the SEC. He was clearly correct in his beliefs. On Wednesday's National Signing Day, Stoops will unveil what many are hailing as the greatest recruiting class in the program's history, a nine-week mop-up that could land the Wildcats in the top 25 nationally, depending whether they can manage a final-hour flip of a defensive end long promised to [USC].

No no no the article says Stoops believes in the incredible power of the SEC on the recruiting trail. They will become great by process of association and osmosis.

The association is so good, that Stoops hasn't won a game, and they're now good.

I've yet to read anything on KY's NSD results. If anyone does, please provide a link.

Any kind of upgrading class at Kentucky is an improvement and if you want to play in the SEC right away, then Kentucky is not a bad choice.

Thats considered a GREAT class by UK football standards!!

The rich get richer as the SEC is going to be even more competitive this year. Kentucky should be improved, Vandy is no longer a bottom dweller, Ole Miss is ranked #5 in recruiting (interesting to see if they can develop this talent) leaving Arky and Tenn as the big question marks going forward.

Obviously, UK is a stepping-stone for Stoops, but it could be an exciting ride for the 'Cats while he's there. Enjoy it while you can UK fans! Buy some tickets!

Anything is better than Joker.

The fact that UK Football is being discussed in February is already an improvement!
