Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will not play on Wednesday night

03:34 PM ET 02.06 | Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will not be available for the team's game against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night due to injury. Nugent-Hopkins was administered a hard check during Monday night's overtime loss against the Vancouver Canucks and is still sore. Head coach Ralph Krueger stated that the player could have participated in Wednesday night's game but the organization didn't want to risk it if he was not 100 percent. With Nugent-Hopkins out of the lineup, it is expected that AHL call-up Mark Arcobello will take his place on the top-line with Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle.

BTW, I saw this Portobello kid play against our Grand Rapids Griffins and the Chicago Wolves. Let me tell you! He ain't no mushroom. The kid has spunk and good hockey sense. Reminds me of Brian Gionta and Marty SL.
