12:15 AM ET 02.07 | The United States men's soccer team suffered defeat to Honduras in the first round of 2013 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday at Estadio Olimpico. Honduras edged the Americans, 2-1. It was Honduras' Oscar Boniek Garcia that netted the game-winning goal. USA still has nine World Cup qualifying matches remaining, but they will need to put together a much better effort if they have any hopes of making the 2014 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. Simply put, it was a horrible performance for the United States. USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann will need to stop trying to out-think himself moving forward and put together the best possible line up in order for the Americans to succeed. The United States' next qualifying matchup is a road game against heated rival Mexico. If the Americans can't get it together in time, they could run into another roadblock from El Tri.
