12:26 AM ET 02.07 | The Pittsburgh Pirates have one of the most traditional logos in Major League Baseball, but that could all change soon. Pittsburgh finally seems to be turning the corner and working their way out of the NL Central basement and a new look could accompany the team as they return to relevance. The Pirates are looking to alter their logo for the 2014 season and discussions will begin next week. Pittsburgh will invite a limited number of season ticket holders to focus groups so they can receive feedback and input from the fans while they look to potentially change the logo for 2014. The primary logo has been a gold "P" on the center of their cap and the tradition has stuck with the Pirates since their early years. How could the organization alter the logo to make it modern and fresh while sticking with the team's tradition?

Don't bother. It can't be done.

If you mean their Olde English P is fine as it is, I agree completely.

Leave it alone. The logo and colors still look good. Those are about the only thing that Pirates fans can count on any more.

Agree.

Rumor has it the Pirates are swapping the "P" on the cap with a capital "L"

Keep the original cap, add a secondary logo cap to wear on the road, and a third logo cap to wear on Sunday home games.

Might as well. It's the last good thing left that they haven't screwed up yet.

Agreed. I don't know why franchises always think they need to change colors/logos/uniforms, etc. It is almost never an improvement, and it strips away tradition.
