08:03 AM ET 02.07 | My, my how quickly things have changed for speedy return specialist Jacoby Jones. Once an obscure player at tiny Lane College, Jones is now a Super Bowl champion. ... "I've been the underdog all my life. I walked on at Lane, and I just took off. I was determined." Entering the final year of his contract, Jones is due a $1 million roster bonus on March 16, the fourth day of the new league year. He's due a $3 million base salary and has a $4.9 million salary-cap figure. His deal includes a $500,000 escalator clause triggered by total receptions for the 2013 season. Jones would seem to be as good a candidate as any for a contract extension at some point. When asked if he's hoping to sign a long-term deal, Jones replied quickly: "I want to retire here."

If Ravens can't afford Boldin then I would love for them to sign Jones long term. A cheaper and younger option.

If you think about it, his comment works better in this thread than it does the Moss thread.

He did outplay Randy Moss, but he's got a way to go to out play Jerry Rice, however even with his drops Jacoby at least looked great!!!! Good for him!

That sucks. I'd like him to retire here in Green Bay personally (after about 12 years here).

Your post doesn't make sense at all. Why would NE who is stacked with great receivers and good returners want Boldin and Jones? I guess now we know who the real Sucker is!

Are you talking about Brandon Bolden, the Patriots RB? Or am I just a typo nazi?

I'm Mexican and I'm sure you don't have sense of humor. You really love to call people names huh? Like what I said..fake thug pretending to be a tough guy in the internet. Just because a team brought up a players name doesn't mean they necessarily want that player. WR's are the least concern of the Patriots.

I read his posts, and the first thing that pops into my mind is the movie "Big Fan".

Post Superbowl Reality. The Ravens are $5 million over the cap for 2013, and that is without Flacco being factored in. With $6 million due Boldin, something has to give.

Retirement is where you live for the rest of your life. If he wants to live in Maryland for the rest of his life, hey this is a free country. Lets see if he is still of the same opinion when he finds himself on another team after he loses a step or 2.
