03:23 PM ET 02.07 | Phoenix Coyotes forward Raffi Torres will be facing the Chicago Blackhawks for the first time since being suspended 21 games for a hit on Marian Hossa in last season's playoffs. Hossa sustained a concussion on the play and was unable to play in the rest of the series. The Coyotes ended up advancing all the way to the Western Conference Final prior to falling to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. After serving his suspension, Torres has realized that he needs to change his style of play and avoid reckless plays. Whether he actually makes that change remains to be seen. Either way, much of the focus has been centered on this matchup and some believe a member of the Blackhawks will look to challenge Torres to a fight as retribution for the Hossa hit.

Raffi Torres says he is a changed man

After losing all those cheques of course he's a "changed" man. That's all he's got left.

I already stumped for Torres the other week by saying that I thuoght the 21 game ban was a bit heavy handed.

Regardless, anything less than a good old fashioned beating or butt end to the teeth and he'd be getting off light. As a Hawk, I would make it a point of honour to pay back Torres. Much like the sissy Canucks should have done with Duncan Keith.

agree completely...gotta go out and do it early too

first shift. The second he touches the ice you send out your bruiser and you have him throw the gloves and grab Torres by the neck. Who cares how obvious it looks and who cares if the bruiser gets tossed, it's his job...

The Canucks were ready to knock his teeth out but they didn't know where they were.

So now we call him Chaz?

Like Darren McCarty did to Claude L'Turtle for what he did to Kris Draper, who I liked as a grinder, but knew he wasn't a fighter.

I call bs...and seeing the clown in charge of discipline, Brendan Shanahan -- AKA -- BS..he could probably pull the same stunt and receive nothing but a 10 dollar fine!

I guess that means he's going to be useless from now on.

They're sitting next between his Stanley Cup ring and his Norris Trophy.

What are the winning lottery numbers? Did you foresee the shellacking in the first period too?

It really isn't fair to compare Keith to Torres. One took a cheap shot that is more or less out of character while the other is known for head-hunting and dirty play.
