Gordon discusses almost playing in Phoenix

06:59 PM ET 02.07 | The Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Hornets faced off in a battle of the bottom-dwellers in the Western Conference on Wednesday, and the meeting went deeper than the game at hand. That's because one player on the court, Hornets guard Eric Gordon, had signed an offer sheet with the Suns during the offseason as a restricted free agent, seemingly asking the Hornets not to match it by saying his heart was in Phoenix. New Orleans did match the deal, and these days Gordon is downplaying his comments. "I can't really get into that," Gordon told The Arizona Republic. "Whether I was here or there, I would've been fine with it. It was nothing over the top that I wanted to be here or there."

Personally I think it was better for him to be in New Orleans. Have u seen the Suns lately? They're even worse than the Hornets can ever be, but the Hornets have shown way more upside than the Suns.
