07:57 AM ET 02.08 | Even with some time to think about it, San Francisco's defensive backfield couldn't get its story straight on how Jacoby Jones beat them. [Chris Culliver] on Tuesday said he thought he had help from safety Donte Whitner. "Yeah," [Culliver] said. "Like I said, I don't want to throw nobody under the bus. But I had him and we wasn't on the same page, so it ends up as a touchdown." Whitner, however, had an entirely different take. Should he have gone deep with Jones? "No. No. People don't know," he said. ... "Our corners did a great job all year of playing this coverage. And it just caught him (Culliver). It just caught him. I don't know. Chris is man to man, that was his guy. And the guy just got behind him," Whitner continued.

Don't care. It already feels like they played the Super Bowl 6 weeks ago.

Sounds like they are as confused now as they were on Sunday.

In other words, get ready to throw someone under the bus.

At some point this will become Bill Callahan's fault. Give it up, niners. The team that played better football won.

I guess the honeymoon is over in the Niners Backfield, Jim is going to blame both of them!

This kind of stuff should stay in the locker room and not the media. I guess they learn it best from their coach.

Maybe Culliver thought Jones was gay and was afraid to get too close to him

Uh oh, there's trouble in paradise. I don't think Jim Harbaugh is the type of coach to put up with this kind of nonsense. He released Brandon Jacobs for something similar, and he kept a muzzle on Randy Moss most of the season as well. So look for the hammer to fall on someone here.

And if your team had legitimate goal line plays or a two point conversion play, all of this would be irrelevant. Such is the way of things.

I think the Ravens must have developed stealth uniforms that can't be seen by opposing defensive backs. How else could they get so open downfield against both the Broncos and 49ers?

Had Brandon Jacobs been in the backfield when they were first and Goal, Jimmy boy might have gotten his ring, Jacobs was outstanding inside the 10 Yard Line, he could block, catch, or run with the ball, but hot head Jim had to do it his way!

That picture is priceless. Culliver looks like a stooge. It's pretty obvious where the fault lies on this play. Even if you do have Safety help it's not a license to let the receiver get that far behind you.

Pisses me off every time I see this picture. Look at this fool..........the ball was severely underthrown and he still looking back without a clue as to where it is.

I think we have 11 or 12 picks in this years draft. If we don't make a play for Revis or another top tier CB, we're screwed again. the 49ers' strength of schedule next year is ridiculous.

With a psychotic coach like Harbaugh, I can understand why.
