Caps' goaltending a mess, too

08:20 AM ET 02.08 | Adam Oates went to the quick hook Thursday night, which didn't produce the intended result in yet another Capitals loss. Seconds after Michal Neuvirth allowed a leaky goal to Pascal Dupuis 12:49 into the second period -- even before the siren had finished sounding and the red light had stopped flashing -- Oates ordered Braden Holtby into the game. "I just thought there were goals that kind of deflated us," [Oates said]. ... Neuvirth surrendered two goals on 11 shots and has now allowed two back-breaking, momentum-changing goals in his last two starts. In seven appearances this season, Neuvirth is 1-4-1 with a 3.05 GAA and .889 save percentage. And he's the better of the Caps' two goalies.

Who'se lined up as the #1 pick in the draft since the Caps are heading in that direction.

The Caps have more issues then just in their net

Hey George McPhee, get some defensemen so that your goalies are not left out there to die by themselves.

It wasn't a game. I look foward to a hard-fought, spirited game between the Pens and Caps. Even though we got the two points, and I should have enjoyed it, for some reason, I did not. Not as munch.

The Blues' goaltending is a mess too. Elliott has been horrible.

Yes he did. He was awesome in the 2012 WJC too.

That's the kind of a regular season win that will be looked back at as a team confidence builder.
