08:21 AM ET 02.08 | On the occasion of "one year out," as it relates to the Olympics, Sidney Crosby sounded like a man ready to go to Sochi. The Penguins center scored the overtime goal against the United States that gave host Canada a gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. During recent lockout negotiations, the NHL did not resolve whether to let its players continue to play in the Olympics. Talks about that could begin soon. "I had a great experience," Crosby said [Thursday]. ... "[Not] only the hockey, but seeing all the other sports, being able to go through that -- I think anyone who's been there would love to be a part of it again. Hopefully, we can all find a way to make it work." Crosby stopped short of outright vowing to go to Sochi.

Maybe he could complain again about teams in other cities not liking him. Crybaby.
Meanwhile, Pens are dangerous now. Probably the last team I'd want to play right now in the East. BHawks are nasty right now too.

Canada does terrible on the big ice.
Which begs the question, if you're altering Olympic rules in order for the NHL'ers to participate, why the hell aren't they playing on the ice they're used to?

Salt Lake was on the big ice so you can't use that as an excuse!

I can appreciate what you are saying danny and it really makes sense but it also would sort of be against what the Olympic intent of amatuers competing....not that it really is that anymore either.

In fairness though, I'd like to see the current generation play, I htink ti would look alot better. These kids can really skate, unlike the previous few editions of Team Canada that we sent to play on big ice.
Anyways, it's the way it is, I don,t think we should take our puck and go home just because we're at a disadvantage. Plus, in Salt Lake it was larger ice, no?

Yeah, let's suit up some Timbits players and have them square off for Olympic gold.
