08:44 AM ET 02.08 | Moving on. A day after finalizing a top-five recruiting class, Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly and his staff continue -- not begin, continue -- the quest for a follow-up group. Already, Notre Dame has received four commitments to its recruiting class of 2014, and Kelly identified the trenches -- the offensive and defensive lines -- as areas of emphasis. "I think the O-line and D-line will be an area that we'll continue to work toward," Kelly said Wednesday. "And then I think you look at who your guys are in '13 to start to match your depth needs." One of those additional needs could be at wide receiver, specifically a game-changer in the Jeff Samardzija or Michael Floyd mold.

Methinks every CFB program is already targeting the class of 2014. It's an ongoing process.

We'll know CFB's off the deep end when a futures market develops for the yet conceived offspring of certain parents-to-be.

it's bs articles like this that make ND so hated. Obviously ND are the only team that had previously worked on 2014 commits, right? They're the only ones with 2014 commits, obviously.
Anyways, whatever, ridiculous media aside, Go Irish.

Alabama already has Bo Scarborough prjected by some to be a 5 star. Working on Racean Thomas, might be a 5 star. Working on Marlon Humphrey, projected to be a 5 star and a legacy (Bobby Humphrey, who played for Bama in the 80s is his dad). I've been told by someone that knows the family, that Marlon is expected to go to Alabama.

Ignorant hometown newspaper story, probably by a not very experienced intern.
Every coaching staff is focused on 2014, and '15, recruits. It's the dance of survival in CFB.
