Snow-pocalypse Nemo pushes NHL game back

06:58 PM ET 02.08 | Once you'e done rolling your eyes over the fact that weather men, er, weather terrorists have begun naming winter storms in an effort to make us terrified of the fluffiest stuff on earth, you'd better check your local listings as the times of some sporting events have changed. Thanks to the Snow-pocalypse Nemo, the NHL has rescheduled Saturday's game between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning. Nemo is expected to reach the Northeast this weekend and already almost 3,000 flights in and out of the area have been cancelled. The game was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. ET but has been moved back to 7 p.m. ET as to allow Bostonians the opportunity to brave blizzard conditions in the dark.

It would be cool to see them all over the place but there will be no snowmen being made from this stuff.
It is snowing at a 2" per hour clip right now and it is very dry, fluffy snow, almost like sugar falling from the sky. I doubt you could even make a decent snowball outta this stuff without bringing a little water with you.
I expect the B's to play before a 50% or better crowd tomorrow.

Yup. Apparently the governor didn't lift the driving ban until 4pm and anyone who might have ventured out to the game would have been breaking the law.
A group of 6 friends were planning a nice outing in Boston yesterday, including taking in the game and now they are all blaming the cancellation on me because I'm a snow profiteer. Hehehe
