USC letting OC Kennedy Polamalu go

09:57 AM ET 02.09 | According to multiple sources Friday, Kennedy Polamalu will not return to USC next season as the Trojans' offensive coordinator. Polamalu, who came to USC from the Tennessee Titans, spent the last three seasons as the Trojans offensive coordinator and running backs coach under Lane Kiffin. Tuesday, one source said that the move had been in the works for the past month. With tweets of disappointment and surprise coming from five-star running back signee Ty Isaac since last week, the implication is that the Under Armour All-American knew of the pending move before signing day.

The article doesn't say where Polamalu is going.

Dr, the statement that surprised me the most in this article was: "The Trojans were 116th out of 120 FBS teams in turnovers lost with 34 in 2012!!! That's huge!!!!

He was only OC in title. RB coach was his primary thing. Lane did, and will still call plays. Not sure if they plan to "elevate" someone to OC. Don't see the point really.

First I didn't know they had any running back signed in this class, 2nd why would Ty Isaac be surprised and disappointed if he knew about the situation prior to signing as this article currently states? Third, I don't think you're screwing over an 18 year old by making a position coach change. Nobody should be choosing a 4 year higher education on a position coach.
What did his tweet say, "Awwww shucks"? Or maybe, "Caught up in the middle, I cry just a little, when I think of letting go, gave up on the riddle, I cry just a little, when I think of letting go"

Lame reminds me of Mack Brown firing coaches as if the problems were due to them. If both of you want to know where the problem is-check the mirror. As of now, I would give Mack the award by a nose over Lame as to the coach that does the least with the most.

Now that you mention it yeah the problems WERE due to the assistants because Mack is a not an X's & O's guy he's walk-around head coach. MacWhorter got lazy and had to go. G Davis didn't do as he was told so he had to go. S&C coach thought he was the new age Ghandi of weightlifting so he had to go. I'm glad Mack fired these clowns.

The sacrificial lambs... first the DC and now the OC. It's like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and Pat Hayden can't see the iceberg coming! A program with the history and resources of USC and they believe that Kiffen is the best choice to be HC? I don't get it. Tell me ICE is it arrogance or ignorance? Can you imagine what someone like Kevin Sumlin could do with all those 5 star kids?
