04:25 PM ET 02.09 | The NBA trade deadline is just weeks away, and already we have mumblings of yet another deal that could see the exchange of some rather notable names. It's not a move that will melt the face of the NBA by any means, but the Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Bobcats are entertaining the idea of swapping Kris Humphries for Ben Gordon. Thanks to the great play of late from Reggie Evans, the Nets view Humphries as expendable, and not that it's a factor in a possible trade, but they wouldn't mind ridding themselves of the little sideshow he's created with Kim Kardashian. The Bobcats moving Gordon is a lot more interesting, considering they haven't even had him on their roster for a full year. The Bobcats acquired Gordon last June for Corey Maggette but they apparently feel they have enough guards to move forward without Gordon, who is the team's third leading scorer. Between Kemba Walker, Ramon Sessions and Gerald Henderson manning the backcourt, the Bobcats are looking for some front court help and think Humphires and his 6.4 rebound per game average can provide that assistance.
