05:24 PM ET 02.10 | Baltimore Ravens cornerback Cary Williams will not be fined or punished for shoving a referee during Super Bowl XLVII. Williams shoved linesman Steve Stelljes following an Ed Reed interception, but was not penalized or ejected for his actions. He said that the shove was unintentional, and that he wasn't trying to harm the official. The lack of a penalty has drawn criticism from many over the past week, including former NFL VP of officiating Mike Pereira, who felt that Williams should have been ejected.

Good news. Being fired would have been a bit much. Fined, ok. Fired, not so much.

Jeez, does anybody even proof read what they write anymore? I won't bother reading the article if the bar is that low!

Over 12 hours later and this headline hasn't been fixed. Oh well, maybe the interns will fix it when they replete this story tomorrow morning.

The NFL is a joke. Now every player can shove a ref and appeal the fine based on this case right here. All in the name of protecting Boger's awful crew.

February 11, 2013  09:56 AM ET

I think a penalty and a fine would have been appropriate.
