04:38 PM ET 02.10 | Former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary has interviewed with the St. Louis Rams for their vacant defensive coordinator job. Singletary and Rams head coach Jeff Fisher were teammates on the Chicago Bears during the 1980s, so the two have a presumably good working relationship. The Rams came close to hiring Rob Ryan for the job, but the two decided to part ways over "philosophical differences." Singletary has spent the past two seasons as an assistant head coach and linebackers coach for the Minnesota Vikings, and has never been a coordinator before.

This guy is a fungus as a coach. He would be drooling for the head coach to fail. Watch your back!

If they hire him, "Pants on the Ground" could be the new team song.

He's okay as an assistant coach. In fact, he works best that way. Always needed supervision.

He could learn a lot from Jeff Fisher and probably get a another shot at running a team if they do well! This is a no brainer for both sides!!!!!!
