Pats great: Time Brady had a talk with Gronk

08:03 AM ET 02.11 | The latest edition of "Gronk being Gronk" found Rob Gronkowski performing wrestling moves at a Las Vegas nightclub, but former Patriots enforcer Willie McGinest said recently that, in his day, the distractions might have been ended sooner rather than later. In that light, McGinest also believed it was time for someone in the room to drop a dime on Gronk. And who might have the McGinest-like clout to make an impression on the young tight end? Tom Brady. "The only guy on that offense that could probably say anything is Tom," McGinest said. "He has the years in. Or maybe Wes (Welker). ... Gronk's young. It would have to be an elder statesman like Vince (Wilfork) or Tom (to speak up). Someone who's been there for a while. But Tom might be the one."

Gronk is the result of poor parenting by his father.
The Old Man is acting like an adolescent himself; left his wife, moved into a party house in Florida with his sons, and tries to keep up with them with the booze and the ladies.
Not sure who, if anyone, Gronk respects enough to listen to, but it would be a good idea for someone who has his ear to speak to him about not growing up to be an idiot like his father.

No, and if the Patriots percieve a problem, then it is the HC, gM or possibly the owner to make a courtesy call to his agent. Players policing themselves off the field is not always a good idea. some rooms need a father figure with the power to respond. And perhaps there is no problem at all, up to management to decide, not any player.

Every time Gronk does crazy stuff off the field that the Pats don't like its when he's hammered. Then when he's sober they tell him not to do that crazy stuff. Gronk says "I'm sorry I won't do it again" The he drinks & does it again. Sound familiar to any other drinkers?

Nothing more, nothing less. A loudmouth hooligan who makes some impressive plays but is too in love with himself to cut out behavior that is destructive to himself (and the Pats).

I like Gronk the player a lot more than Shockey the player, but unfortunately you're right. Doing pro-wrestling moves while in his arm is still healing is dumb, plain and simple.

they're nothing alike..shockey was a moody, primadonna that couldn't back it up on the field, where as gronk is a happy-go-lucky, thick neck simpleton who leaves it all on the field and racks up records in TDs and yards recieved for a tight end. Gronk is basically a Golden Retriever playing tight end.
