08:14 AM ET 02.11 | Absent from LSU's signing announcements was a running back. And considering Les Miles' predilection for the ground game, this omission could have sparked a few questions from Tiger fans, like: Coach, are you switching to the spread offense? Are you now comfortable with throwing the ball 50 times per game? Will you now play with 22 defenders? Miles, however, fended off those (hypothetical) doozies at LSU's National Signing Day shindig, saying that there was someone he has in mind for next year's class. He, of course, said -- without actually saying -- St. Augustine's do-everything phenom running back Leonard Fournette, is that person. And the good news for the Tigers: Fournette has LSU -- along with Alabama -- in his top 2.

And the bad news for the Tigers is that Fournette had Alabama -- along with LSU -- in his top 2.

The good news for LSU is Alabama is absolutely stacked at RB and looking at 2 more in the state of Alabama - Bo Scarborough, already committed, and Racean Thomas, and Kamryn Pettway. Also already offered is Nick Chubb from Georgia.

Why doesn't the Times-Picayune just put up an ad for the kid on the front page. Miles can recruit on his own, he doesn't need the paper to shill for him.

Hope he does commit to LSU and sign. Will be needing a great running back by then. LSU filled needs in this years signing class.
Hopefully the signing of Cam Cameron will produce some QB productivity no matter who the starting QB is going to be. Les needs to let Cameron run the offense and make all of the decisions as to QB, etc. If Mettinberger does not cut the mustard then close the jar and move on.
