08:19 AM ET 02.11 | With seven goals in his first 11 games this season, Toronto's James van Riemsdyk is already more than halfway to his 2011-12 total of 11 goals in 43 games with his former team, the Flyers. As for Philly, van Riemsdyk has had Monday night's Flyers-Maple Leafs game in Toronto circled on his calendar since the lockout ended. "I've been thinking about that basically since the season started, just getting that first game over with against my former team," he said. "It just gives you that final sense of closure, I think. When you get traded, at first you're a little bit shocked. Even though you know it's coming, you're pushing on your heels a bit." ... If the first quarter of the season is any indication, van Riemsdyk's best hockey is ahead of him.

closure...really?
Today onm WGAF, Dr. phil talks to players about their feelings

If the Leafs could actually win a home game, i'd be a little more excited for this team than I have been to this point.

Also, it would be nice to beat a REAL team, unlike that pee wee group they scheduled us against on Saturday. That was weird.

During a contract hold out all you hear is it's nothing personal it's just buisness. When a player gets traded it wasn't buisness it was personal. Just a little hypocrasy sprinkled in if you ask me.

I still dont get the Little Shrub reference but anyhow what line is JVR playing on?

Good for the kid, he was kind of lost in the shuffle here in Philly

I think that was the final score against Montreal.

It was a trade that worked for both teams. Schenn has been a good addition on the Flyers blue line and JVR is lighting it up in Toronto. Good for both of them.

He took Lupul's spot on the first line with Bozak and Stay Puft.

I haven't watched a Flyers game since the opener, but it's good to hear Luke's doing good.

Sadly yes. But I'm still giving my fact checker (Rotten Ronnie) a vote of confidence and a new contract.
