08:20 AM ET 02.11 | Taken No. 7 overall in 2005, Panthers forward Jack Skille had to face the possibility that he may not live up to the hype. [Skille] reached this epiphany not long after sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury last March. Skille said advice from teammate Stephen Weiss and the inspiration gleaned from reading New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees' book, 'Coming Back Stronger,' -- which chronicled Brees' journey from a career-ending shoulder injury to Super Bowl MVP -- helped instigate his attitude adjustment. "It changed my attitude," said Skille, 25. ... "Brees chose the Saints instead of the Dolphins because they believed in him," Skille said. "When your staff believes in you like [Dale Tallon], who drafted me and believed in me from the start, and a coach who knows how to motivate me, that's a huge help."

That is a classic example of something they guy should have kept to himself. Even if he did tell it to a reporter, it was meant for the locals and not to be posted on an international board like FN.

February 11, 2013  10:20 AM ET

You might not be struggling, you just might not be good.
