Dennis Erickson takes OC gig at Utah

02:15 PM ET 02.11 | Dennis Erickson will be the next offensive coordinator at Utah, the school announced Monday.
Erickson hasn't coached in an assistant role since 1981. Since, he's been a head coach at both the college level - notably winning two national championships with "The U"-era Miami in 1989 and 1991 - and in the NFL - stints with the Seahawks and 49ers. He was most recently head coach at Arizona State, but was fired after a 6-7 season in 2011. It's his fourth stint in the Pac-12, having coached at Washington State and won conference titles with both Oregon State and Arizona State.
Utah was 105th in total offense this past season.
