08:11 AM ET 02.12 | A roller coaster season in Boston just took another turn. [The Celtics] may be without Leandro Barbosa for the rest of the season. Barbosa, who has seen his playing time increase since Rajon Rondo's season-ending torn right ACL injury, crumbled to the ground near the end of the third quarter with a left knee injury. Limping towards the Celtics locker room after their 94-91 loss to Charlotte, Barbosa respectfully declined to speak with the media through team officials. Celtics coach Doc Rivers said Barbosa will have an MRI performed on the knee [Tuesday] morning in Boston. "It's not looking great," Rivers said of Barbosa's injury. "But we'll see." ... "We're falling like flies right now," said Boston's Kevin Garnett.

We still need size and this will be a bad draft. I would like to see the Celts package Brandon Bass and a 1st round pick for Jason Smith of the Hornets or even throw in Fab Melo and see if we could get Speights from the Raptors.

Couldn't happen to a better team.

Just when the Celtics were doing well, very unfortunate.

QUOTE(#8):

They already sent Speights to Cleveland a few weeks back. This is rough for Celtic and even NBA fans. We all get robbed in the playoffs when injuries deplete the good teams. Last year it was Orlando, Chicago and New York in the East. So far this year it's going to be Boston and who knows what else will happen in the second half of the year.

Boston wasn't that good a team this year!

Boston can not catch a break...

Not that Barbosa is a killer to the team but it does not help their depth and defense one bit.

I can hear creaky knees and old age catching them by the time the playoffs roll around...

Good Lord, not another one.

This is too bad. It would be much better if Barbosa were healthy and KG had a career ending injury.

You must have mistaken KG for Mr. Cheap Shot-Dwayne Wade. Just ask Kobe, Rondo, et al.
