Sean Couturier sent back to Philadelphia with flu

12:07 PM ET 02.12 | The Philadelphia Flyers have sent forward Sean Couturier back to Philadelphia due to his falling ill with the flu. The team is currently in the midst of a six-game road trip, which will see them visit the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night. Couturier had participated in morning skate for the team's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night. However, he was scratched just prior to game time with the illness. With Couturier on his way home, the club has recalled forward Harry Zolnierczyk from the American Hockey League. Zolnierczyk played in 37 games with the Flyers last season and record six points (three goals, three assists).
