Kelly: Vick will face competition

01:08 PM ET 02.12 | The Philadelphia Eagles announced Monday that quarterback Michael Vick would return for the 2013 season. However, head coach Chip Kelly said that doesn't mean Vick is guaranteed to win the starting job. Philadelphia still has Nick Foles on the roster, and he filled in admirably for Vick while the regular starter missed seven games with a concussion in 2012. Vick seems to be a much better fit for Kelly's hurry-up spread offense, but the first-year coach will at least give Foles a shot to win the job.

The rest of the NFC East teams will be happy to see Vick return.

I wouldn't be so quick to give up on Vick. I think he has some good games/seasons left in him. The Eagles were a nightmare this past year, and you can't blame Vick for all of it. Someone just needs to get his talent focused back on Ws.

Vick is going to light it up for 3/4 of the season, then the iggles will extend him.

The Eagles are hedging their bets at QB. Smart move while they make the transition to Kelley's offense. But Vick is still going to get hit a lot, even after he no longer has the ball, so I don't really expect him to last.

They 'll pick up Dennis Dixon who has run Kelley's offense as their #2 and ship Foles to KC
