01:42 PM ET 02.12 | Tennessee Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and Reebok are working together to promote a product that they hope will immediately indicate if a player has suffered a severe head injury. The product is called "CheckLight," and is essentially a skull cap with a green, yellow and red light embedded. When a player receives a moderate hit to the head, the light will change from green to yellow, and when a player receives a severe hit, it will change from green to red. The product is designed to be worn under a player's helmet.

Might be hard to see a skullcap with the helmet on.

My guess is Hasselbeck will be the test dummy they use for their dog-and-pony shows.

It'll register the force when Hasselbeck hits himself in the head with the clipboard.

LMAO...is that a Monty Python reference?...(Holy Grail)

That skull cap thingy does not sound very comfortable.

wonder if they thought of that LOL

I don't get why they would think this fancy schmancy thing is necessary......if the coaches and refs etc are paying attention the game, they will see if there is a blow to the head...... and one blow bump will not necessarily have the same impact on every person....in spite of all of them getting red lights.

He might be the first Quarterback ever the leave the field because a yellow light is stuck in his Skull!!! In any event,
good for Hasselbeck, he's a good guy!

So what happens when the player is hit so hard, the cap short circuits and all three lights are lit? Is that worth bonus concussion points?
