03:56 PM ET 02.12 | Calgary Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff will miss at least another two weeks due to a grade two MCL sprain. The team announced this time-table on Tuesday afternoon. Kiprusoff originally sustained the injury during the team's 4-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. After experiencing discomfort late in the second period, it was determined that Kiprusoff would not return to the game in the third. The following day, he announced via a press release on the team's site that he would not miss a significant chunk of time due to the injury. As of Tuesday afternoon, he is expected to miss three weeks while recovering.

The desperate Flames picked Joey MacDonald up off waivers yesterday. It tells you something about MacDonald when the Wings have more faith in The Monster than him.

LOL. I eat so much Salmon now I have an urge to swim upstream to spawn. But seriously, Holtby played in the ECHL in Carolina before coming to Hershey and then the Caps. Apparently he thinks he's back there now.
