06:11 PM ET 02.12 | The Dallas Cowboys coaching staff received a major face lift following the conclusion of the 2012-13 NFL season, but it looks like they are not yet ready to change the face of their franchise. Per reports, the Cowboys are focused on extending starting quarterback Tony Romo this offseason and they believe that he is a key piece to the puzzle as they move forward. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones made sure to confirm on Tuesday that Dallas believes in Romo and they hope to extend his deal before it runs out at the end of the 2013 season. "Tony is a key piece of what we're about going forward," Jones said. It is possible that the extension for Romo could be more about restructuring his contract for cap relief rather than showing their confidence in the signal-caller moving forward.
