Another Celtic down: Barbosa tears ACL

06:13 PM ET 02.12 | An MRI confirmed on Tuesday that Boston Celtics point guard Leandro Barbosa will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL. The injury occurred Monday night as the Celtics lost to the Charlotte Bobcats, dropping their first of eight games since losing starting point guard Rajon Rondo to the same injury. Now, Boston must look toward filling out a roster decimated by injury. Barbosa, Rondo and Jared Sullinger will all miss the rest of the year, and even a once-deep guard rotation has holes coach Doc Rivers must plug. Barbosa had seen increased time after the Rondo injury and he was averaging eight points per game. To replace him, CSN New England's A. Sherrod Blakely reports that Boston could go after D-League guards Shelvin Mack or Andre Barrett. Veteran journeyman Jannero Pargo is also on the market as a free agent.
