If you accept the premise that Rose raising the possibility that he might miss the entire season represents an choreographed move by his agency, then it's not hard to imagine Rose's handlers having input into when he returns.

Although the Bulls have played well most of the season, they have had there low points (like losing to the Bobkittens & an aging Spurs team without their 3 stars). So what's the rush. Play it safe and let D. Rose take his time and rehab the right way. Make Sure when the 2013-2014 Season starts that he's 100% mind, body & soul. Then make your run at the championship.

Rose is what happens when you pay someone $19MM a year. He's waiting until he feels perfect which isn't going to happen. He's been nicked up since high school. Eventually his team or teammates will move on without him.
