08:12 AM ET 02.13 | Josh Hamilton said Tuesday he's been juicing -- fruits and vegetables. Hamilton, 31, also cut out bread and processed foods and is eating gluten-free, a diet that helped the team's new right fielder reduce his weight to 225 pounds, some 20-30 pounds lighter than his usual reporting weight with the Texas Rangers. "My body feels better," said Hamilton, a five-time All-Star who signed a five-year, $125-million deal in December. "My energy level is up." Hamilton typically entered camp weighing between 245 and 255 pounds, but after playing summers in the stifling heat and humidity of Texas, he'd weigh about 225 by season's end. A more moderate climate in Anaheim should allow Hamilton to maintain a consistent weight.

I really hope it is the diet not something else. When he bottomed out on drugs he was in the 170's

Barry Bonds called it the Clear and the Cream. Hamilton calles it the Fruits and the Vegetables. Hopefully doing some proper Juicing will take his mind off of his addictions to Tobacco, Caffeine and a Bat S*** crazy wife.

Absolutely. And the players can't catch a break.... gain weight - their juicing.... lose weight - their juicing.....

;-)

<knows most comments on juicing is sarcasm... but with the button broken - sometimes hard to tell>

That gluten free diet can help a lot. My wife was feeling sick for a while and they kept on with this test and that and the doctors didn't have an answer and couldn't help her. She ended up going to a nutritionist who got her off of gluten and dairy items and now she's as good as new.
Before she went through it I would have thought it was BS.

I will settle that it is going to be a long season for the Saux and the Yanks this year. Both seem to be on the way to rebuilding their teams.

I believe it will be a race between the O's, Jays and Rays this year.

It's going to be interesting. But I believe the NYY will compete well.... The team that will receive the most scrutiny will be Toronto..... If they flop with the same guys that Florida flopped with... it'll be a blood bath in Canuck land....
