03:25 PM ET 02.13 | The New Jersey Devils have placed forward Dainius Zubrus on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury. According to general manager Lou Lamoriello, the team will be able to determine over the course of the next 48 hours how severe the injury to Zubrus is. As of Wednesday afternoon, Zubrus has missed four games with the injury and is giving medication as treatment. While the Devils won't divulge what is specifically ailing Zubrus, they have not ruled out the potential need for a surgical procedure. Lamoriello made it clear that it is not an instance of the two sides disagreeing how to treat the affected area. According to his account, the two sides are in agreement on how to handle the injury.
