03:48 PM ET 02.13 | The Philadelphia Flyers will not be making any major moves this season, at least, that's what general manager Paul Holmgren said on Tuesday night. Despite the team's struggles at time this season, Holmgren believes that it would be unwise to disrupt the young core that the team has developed over the past two seasons. Lead by superstar Claude Giroux, the Flyers have assembled players like Brayden Schenn and Sean Couturier, who have the potential to develop into stars of there own. In addition, the club has Wayne Simmonds, Jake Voracek and Matt Read, all of which have emerged as key pieces on the Flyers forward group. In the event that the Flyers were to make a trade, any team would require one of those players to bring in an impact player. Apparently, Holmgren isn't willing to do that.

It is more than injuries.... they are too slow

It is more than injuries. They are too slow, especially on the back end.

Giroux is overrated. I hate these guys with a passion but he can not yet be mentioned in the same sentence as Crosby and Malkin. They show up every game and play no matter who is in the lineup.
Wake up Flyers fans Homer actually wants you to believe Giroux's bad play is because Hartsy is out? Come on! Homer make a deal give us at least one NHL line on this team. THIS TEAM HAS NO IDENTITY! and for Gods sakes someone please make Simmons take skating lessons!
