04:20 PM ET 02.13 | While NBA trade rumors begin to kick into high gear, it looks like Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith is in the middle of trade talks once again. Reports indicate that the San Antonio Spurs, who need to add a big man to their rotation, have had talks with the Hawks to acquire Smith. There were also reports that the Spurs could pursue Al Horford of the Utah Jazz, but Smith is a more likely target.

lol! Yeah, this is how lame the whole trade rumor is. Spurs are not considering Smith or Al Jefferson (or Al Horford, no matter what team he is on).

Now that would be an interesting trade. Big Al for Al Horford. Both players can play their natural position. Big Al would be the center in Atlanta and Al H will be a PF in Utah.

I agree. But it seems both teams want to avoid a max contract.

Mavs coming back? It seems like they are finally on track.

They should trade Gregg Popovich and his best friend Bonner for Josh Smith. It has been clear to me for a long time the Spurs could win without Pop and his dumb overplay of Bonner, now everyone else finally got a to see the Spurs without Pop.

And we would have $200K more money in the bank too.

Mike Budholzer and the Spurs went undefeated and he didn't even have TD to lean on. Like Pop has done for all those years.
