05:20 PM ET 02.13 | The Big East Conference is close to a deal with the NBC Sports Network worth just $20 million per year - this after the conference had previously turned down a deal worth over $150 million for a decade with ESPN.

Since turning down that deal, Louisville, Syracuse, Rutgers, and the basketball group called "The Catholic Seven" have left the conference, and Boise State, San Diego State, and TCU have decided not to join in the first place. ESPN's current contract with the Big East ends after this basketball season and next football season.

Not sure about the new math thing...but 150m for a decade would be 15m per year? And isn't that less than 20m per year?
