08:02 AM ET 02.14 | As he reported for duty, Mariano Rivera did so Wednesday with a knee brace and a positive attitude. Rivera said he has decided what 2014 will deliver but didn't reveal that yesterday following a 25-pitch bullpen session that was followed by fielding ground balls on a mound and covering first base on another diamond. "I won't give it up until I am ready," the 43-year-old Rivera said about his decision. "I will tell you guys when the moment is right." Rivera said that could come in a day or a week. Asked if he will reveal his decision before the April 1 opener against the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium, Rivera replied, "Definitely." Rivera was toying with retirement last spring until a torn ACL suffered in early May.

No one has ever gotten one hundred percent of the votes. Ever.

Tom Seaver holds the record at 98.84 percent. Cal Ripken, Jr. is third (and first among hitters) with 98.53 percent. Babe Ruth made it on 95.13 percent of his ballots.

It's worth noting that Ruth went in with the first class. There were a huge number of very worthy candidates available. Cy Young himself didn't make it until the second class.
