Cantu has USC on the run and on the move

08:11 AM ET 02.14 | While USC interim basketball coach Bob Cantu's record, 4-3, may not sparkle, it's certainly a step in the right direction from 7-10, which is where Kevin O'Neill was prior to the switch. Before the switch, USC not only was losing more than it was winning, it was doing so by scoring an average of 64.4 points per game. Since Cantu has taken over, the Trojans are averaging 72 points per game -- a scoring figure they surpassed only twice with O'Neill. Guard J.T. Terrell says Cantu has taken "the leash" off the team. Point guard Jio Fontan says the mind-set changed to "run first." ... "Do I want the job?" Cantu says. "Of course. So I have to win. We have to play our best. We have to play a style people enjoy. We have to get people to come out."

Wow! Pat Haden sure has his hands full doesn't he...? With the uncertainties of both the football program (possibly looking for a new H.C. soon) and basketball program (definitely looking for a new H.C.soon) I wonder if he "longs" for the days of sitting in that comfy chair at ND stadium calling the action with no pressure.

LOL, yeah, it seems Pat has a little bit of pressure on him, but I don't think it's the basketball team that has him concerned, as USC's BB program has never been "top" notch. Pat's mean concern this coming year will be LK and the program!!! Like I said before, IMO if LK doesn't go at least 9-4, then Pat will give him his walking papers!!!! :-)
