Notre Dame safety denied 6th year of eligibility by NCAA

02:20 PM ET 02.14 | The NCAA has denied Notre Dame safety Jamoris Slaughter's appeal for a sixth season of eligibility. Slaughter tore his Achilles tendon in the third game of the 2012 season, and had to apply for another year of eligibility after he redshirted as a freshman. He finishes his career with the FIghting Irish with 98 tackles, two interceptions, and two sacks. He played in 39 games overall, and started 19. Aside from Slaughter, the Irish will also lose senior safety Zeke Motta
