03:56 PM ET 02.14 | The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Beau Bennett from the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Bennett leads the Baby Penguins in assists (18) and is fourth on the team in total points (25). He was named to the AHL All-Star Game this season but was unable to play due to injury. Bennett's recall is likely associated to the team elected to trade forward Eric Tangradi on Wednesday. Tangradi and Bennett were competing in training camp. Due to Bennett's flexible contract, the club likely chose Tangradi because he would have had to clear waivers to be placed in the AHL.
