06:18 PM ET 02.14 | John Wall's return this season after an knee injury has sparked a debate about if the former No. 1 overall pick is a franchise player. Maybe it's a one-sided debate, but one prominent NBA agent, David Falk, believes that the Washington Wizards point guard is far from an elite talent. In reaction to Washington Post columnist Mike Wise's anonymous reference to Falk's comments from a year ago, the agent went on the record with Wise to explain himself. Falk, the former agent of Michael Jordan and a Wizards season-ticket holder, said the Wizards would be better off trading Wall and that Washington fans are in a "dreamland" by expecting Wall to be the franchise cornerstone. "I'm not down on John Wall," Falk told Wise. "I just think people want him to be something he's never going to be. He's a big tease. He doesn't have a good enough feel for the game to be an elite player. I don't think he'll ever be the player you think he is."

I have always agreed with this sentiment, the guy has elite athleticism no doubt but his game will never be able to transcend a franchise like a number one draft pick should. He will never justify his selection nor the hype he once garnered. In a different draft maybe he goes around 7-14 area and that makes more sense and the pick isnt as critically flawed. He can play not taking that away, just not upper level point guard. More like 3rd tier undearneath the Jennings, Conley's, and Curry's ect

He's a "big tease" ??He should go play in New Orleans then. He would be "The Big Teasy" in "The Big Easy".
