08:27 AM ET 02.15 | To go or not to go? Yes, the NHLers should be there. It is what is right for the sport of hockey -- if not also the business of hockey. And you can be sure that everyone sitting in the boardroom above the Avenue of the Americas on Thursday and Friday is already aware of that fact. They have been for quite some time. However, don't for a second believe that the NHL's participation in a fifth straight Olympic Games is as much a certainty as we've all thought. On the eve of the meetings, two sources who view the issue from different vantage points told sportsnet.ca that they could envision a scenario in which a deal isn't reached. There was more than a hint of tension in the air. Relationships are frayed.

I disagree. I want all the pros there and I want them all on PEDs.

I'd rather see the kids play too, but it just seems funny that the League let them play when the games were in Canada, but now that they are in Russia all the concerns start coming out. From what I've heard if they don't allow them to go to the Olympics, Ovie and Geno will play in the KHL next year, play in the Olympics and then come back.

If they go I won't be watching.

And if they don't go I probably won't be watching either. Opposite side of the world, wrong time of day for watching hockey if you work.

All that rot.

Agreed. It was fun for a bit, but lets stop stopping NHL seasons for this.

Yep. If we want to see the pros in an international competition bring back the Summit Series or something similar.

This is a bizarro thread. Too many fans of different teams in agreement. I might have to start menacing people. :))))

Why so harsh on Jon Cryer and his family? He's pretty good on Two and a Half Men.

Never seen the show.

But I liked him as Ducky in Pretty in Pink.

The Richards/Carter trade benefited the other teams not the Flyers. There, that should stop this cumbaya stuff

It isn't nearly as good without Charlie Sheen, but Cryer is still good in it. I've heard he is a decent stage actor, too.
