03:56 PM ET 02.15 | Winnipeg Jets forward Eric Tangradi will make his debut with the team against his old team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, on Friday night. In a bit of irony, Tangradi was traded by the Penguins to Winnipeg earlier this week and will be facing his former team less than three days after being traded for a seventh round draft pick. Tangradi compared the experience to breaking up with a girl friend and running into her at the bar the next night. Since joining the Jets, Tangradi has been paired with Olli Jokinen and Kyle Wellwood. Largely considered the Penguins top-prospect, Tangradi failed to cement a role in the team's star-studded lineup. Now in Winnipeg, he will have a chance to start anew.

This is one of those stories that you read and go "huh" and move on. Tangradi came to the pens along with Kunitz for Ryan Whitney. He was supposed to be a "prospect" but he never really impressed me.

Pens up one nothing after one.
