10:06 AM ET 02.16 | The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers have been discussing a deal to trade forward Kevin Garnett for guard Eric Bledsoe and center DeAndre Jordan, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. There are differing factions within the Celtics and Clippers on the prudence of the deal, but the two teams have been in regular contact about the possibility, sources said. Nevertheless, the biggest hurdle could ultimately center on Garnett's willingness to waive his no-trade clause and accept a deal to the Clippers.

Intriguing idea. Garnett could be just what the Clippers need.

Yes, but who are the Clipps going to give in return.

IMO, it would be a bad trade for the Clipps!!! KG is 37 (May) years old where Jordan is only 25 years old. Great trade for the C's, but bad trade for the Clipps!!!

Besides dunking and occasional defense, Jordan is worthless. No offensive skill set, no post game, no jumper, and awful free throw percentage. Despite all those things and how young he is, the guy STILL isn't trying to improve any of it. I mean did you see that ugly free throw he put up against the Lakers? Who else hits the side of the backboard like that?

Good comment, but KG will be only able to help the Clipps for maybe two years. IMO, giving up both Jordan and Bledsoe is too much for an old man like KG!!! If the Clipps feel like they need to add a piece or two to their team this year, then go out and get someone younger than KG!!!

Great for the clips.Bad for the Celtics.....not nearly enough back

Why would it be a bad trade for the C's??? KG is an old man and IMO, this is the right time to get rid of KG, as he has maybe one or two years left in his career. :-)

Horribe Horrible trade for BOTH teams....Celtics have a guard , an all star guard so why trade for a really unproven guard with potential, Jordan is Decent but not worth KG, even at KG's age u still take him over Jordan...

if you trade KG dont trade him for a damn point guard when you have an allstar point guard on your roster now...

Clips should make the trade, their window is now and KG's experience and dirty play will help them in the playoffs.

QUOTE(#11):

This is an intriguing idea. On one hand, the Clippers have put together a pretty good team that can contend for the next few years. But on the other hand, as currently constructed they may only get as far as the conference finals. Eric Beldsoe is a good backup point guard but the Clippers also have Chauncy Billups so it's not like they don't have other legitimate backups. Deandre Jordan is all flash with very little substance. If it were a straight Garnett for Jordan trade than the Clippers should be all over it. In the end, they should probably do the trade and try to win this year. Many of their players are getting older which may close their window of opportunity.

you said it right about bledsoe ...HE IS A GREAT BACK UP...AND I WOULD TAKE SULLINGER OVER JORDAN ANY DAY ...

QUOTE(#17):

Garnett is exactly what the clippers need. Then will then derail Lebron and the Heat. You'd have a lineup of KG, Griffin, Paul, Chauncey and whoever else with Crawford coming of the Bench and that lineup will represent all kinds of problems for the Heat. The Clippers would win the title this year. KG would be a fool not to waive his clause and take this trade. What a way to go out! Apple and I'm out!

KG IS NOT WAVING HIS CLAUSE

They will trade Rondo for good value somewhere down the line.
