12:12 PM ET 02.16 | An associate of Mario Cristobal pointed to a significant salary increase as one reason for his interest in the Alabama offensive line coaching job. Cristobal, the University of Miami's associate head coach and tight ends coach, on Friday interviewed for the University of Alabama's offensive line coaching position, according to a source. Cristobal, who declined to comment Friday, was hired by UM on Jan. 10 after being fired as head coach at FIU. He previously played and coached at UM. Cristobal made UM coach Al Golden aware of the interview, one of the sources said.
