12:19 PM ET 02.16 | The Angels did not ban beer from the clubhouse after 22-year-old pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed by a drunk driver in 2009, and they will not ban it after signing Hamilton, whose addiction to drugs and alcohol led to a three-year suspension from baseball. Hamilton, who had two alcohol relapses in five years at Texas, did not ask the Angels to change their policy. About 20 of baseball's 30 teams ban alcohol from the clubhouse. "We don't think it will be an issue," Manager Scioscia said. "Guys are all responsible." The Angels do not allow hard liquor in the clubhouse. The Rangers allow beer, but when they clinched a division title or won a playoff series, they doused Hamilton with ginger ale.

The Halos have more problems to worry about, winning and paying 5 and 32, and having a lot of butts at home games.

I'll drink to that policy !!

the angels had have dig down their own graveyard, there is a saying that if you can't beat the enemy join them,,and halos have open some extra doors for their newly acquired hamilton,
but does the angels DO have any slim idea at all??

February 16, 2013  01:46 PM ET

halos DO have to keep close eye on their OF IF they do not want any surprises in the regular season,,,should things backfire in the front office about the senseless polizy??
we have to wait and see it,,,

that means the halos would be able to save some extra cash in the fireworks in friday's though,,,

February 16, 2013  01:48 PM ET

angels shouldn't be playing with fire,,,because you know??? they can burn in their own game!!!

February 16, 2013  01:51 PM ET

could it be because the inversion by the halos in their sales in alcohol and beer??
means they would lose money?
but everything it very well could be against their own believes,,,,,

February 16, 2013  01:53 PM ET

The angels do have a major problem,,madson is not ready and won't be ready to pitch untill mid-july, Hanson still losing mph in every year and 2013 wouldn't be the exception,,,

February 16, 2013  01:54 PM ET

signing/trading/ two injury-prone players was not wise enough,,,

February 16, 2013  01:56 PM ET

should halos had signed KYLE lohse unstead trading for hanson?? or should halos had try to trade for another tough starter from the braves?? MINOR or another tough competetor??

February 16, 2013  01:57 PM ET

it is what it is,and halos could be in a bomb timming nonetheless,,,but pitching would had been the first area where i would had focused first!!!

February 16, 2013  01:59 PM ET

angels rotation/waver/CJ wilson/vargas/ hanson???????Jerome williams????who??? comon halos you are better than that!!!!!!!!

That's better than most teams can muster.

February 16, 2013  02:03 PM ET

the angels should know that they have only three regular starters right??? and IF CJ wilson falters or fail to pitch in halos expectations??how that lives the halos rotation,, from 3 we 're down to two,,but because injuries are for the taker in the betting machine,,,vargas or weaver could hit the DL before your eyes,,,that means halos could have the worse rotation in years,,,

February 16, 2013  02:04 PM ET

Jerome Williams can't guarantee to pitch better than last year, and he may ended going to the minors to straight up his mechanics,,,hanson is in the decline form already,,,,

February 16, 2013  02:06 PM ET

all in all,,the halos would/should/could/ be forced to use long relievers in every other game,,,my guess is the bullpen would be tagged in innings pitched demand!!!

plus the halos have the weakest farm system to say the least,,,,or do they have a top quality starter prospect in their farm system??if so we could be breached by that pitcher,,like what happened last year with mike trout though...
