Collin Klein resisting tight end move at combine

08:28 AM ET 02.17 | There are teams that want to see Kansas State quarterback and Heisman finalist Collin Klein work out as a tight end at the combine and be open to a position switch in the pros. But so far Klein is having none of it. He is telling teams he wants to be considered strictly as a quarterback. After Klein performed poorly at the East-West Shrine game, his draft stock as a quarterback is considerably lower than his draft stock as a tight end could be.

Another narcissistic Millennial, just like Tebow.

OK Collin, you were a Accounting and Finance major at KSU. do the math....The minimum rookie salary for 2013 is $405,000. The starting salary for an accountant who used to play QB in college is $40,000.

Nice going, Colin. Way to "Tebow" it with the 'Bosses.'

As long as at least one team in the NFL is willing to let this kid play QB, he's not going to switch positions.

If it doesn't work out for you in the NFL maybe some team will give you a chance to perform on a 50 yard instead.

We need more Tebow threads.

I'd rather play QB than TE.

I suppose so, a NFL practice squad player makes $5,700 a week under the new CBA. He can hope.

That's 16 game weeks, right...not a 52 week calendar year? If he'd rather make 85 grand than a few mil, more power to him.

First of all, there are 17 weeks in the NFL season...and I'm pretty sure they would get paid for training camp and preseason, too. That's more than I make a year!

Yeah man, equates to a six digit salary for half a year's worth of work. Pretty awesome for a worst-case scenario.

Although I would be willing to bet that if absolutely no team is willing to keep him on their roster as a QB come Week 1, he'll consider changing positions.

I just don't think it will get that far. After the 2012 near-revolutionary success of mobile QBs in the NFL, my guess is Klein will have no trouble landing a 3rd-string job.

Wasn't there a QB from Nebraska or some other college power house about 10 - 15 years ago who felt the same way and never made it?

Somebody will probably draft him to run either The Pistol or Wild Card, probably late in the draft, he ran almost as times as he completed touchdowns! He needs a Quarterback coach the dude is 6 ft 5 in tall, he's worth a shot!
